About
St. Mary's Health Care - Ottawa
Whether
you have a sick child on the weekend or you cannot get away
from work before your physician’s office closes, chances
are you have experienced a problem getting health care when
you need it. St. Mary's Hospital understood how this could
become a problem. So St. Mary’s Health Care –
Ottawa was created. This new state-of-the-art facility, which
now is open for business, offers immediate care for those
who do not have a regular physician or those who cannot get
in to see their physician.
What
is Immediate Care?
Many Parents have struggled with the issue of having a sick child on the weekend, and wondering if the illness warrants a trip to the emergency room. Now parents and their sick children no longer need to suffer through ear aches and sore throats until Monday morning.
Conveniently open seven days a week with extended hours, St. Mary’s Health Care-Ottawa offers a staff of highly trained medical professionals, including Dr. Richard DeAngelo and Dr. Ted Patras, both board certified in emergency medicine* and trained to handle a wide variety of health conditions and situations. Both Dr. DeAngelo and Dr. Patras are committed to offering the highest level of quality and compassionate care to their patients.
*St. Mary’s Health Care-Ottawa is not intended to be used as a substitute for an emergency room. Health emergencies are better served by the staff, equipment and resources of a hospital emergency room. If a patient is exhibiting signs of a heart attack, or a life-threatening injury, the patient should seek treatment at the nearest emergency room or call 911.
Lab
and x-rays available
To add
to the convenience, lab services and x-rays are available
on site. Lab tests ordered by any physician can be performed
at this facility; the doctor does not need to be on staff
at St. Mary's Hospital. Someone who needs lab work can drop
by the facility whenever convenient and not deal with driving
to a hospital, finding parking and locating the laboratory.
For anyone
who is not sure if they have a broken bone, the x-ray services
can answer that question without the expense of an emergency
room visit. Ordinary sprains and bumps can be examined and
handled anytime without an appointment.
